Land of our Fathers (Looking over Lake Pend Oreille, Idaho)
The day before Fathers Day me and a friend spent the evening exploring the Idaho Cabinet Mountains. Towards the end Jake inspired me to use a little more creativity that I felt had been lost to me somewhere along the way as I grew in my craft. I framed a young tree with its fresh growth needles on the bottom of the image and decided to make it a warm B&W. The results are exciting. Because Jake is a man much younger than myself this had me thinking on how we should be learning from each generation before and after us. Sometimes we get so caught up in our way of thinking we forgot how to play and be creative. Those of us who are younger can inspire the older to be more this way as the elders can teach us through their wisdom on how to navigate the many paths life can take us. Dedicated to all the Fathers and mentors out there.
